Privacy Policy

A legal disclaimer

The explanations and information provided on this page are only general and high-level explanations and information on how to write your own document of a Privacy Policy. You should not rely on this article as legal advice or as recommendations regarding what you should actually do, because we cannot know in advance what are the specific privacy policies you wish to establish between your business and your customers and visitors. We recommend that you seek legal advice to help you understand and to assist you in the creation of your own Privacy Policy.

Privacy Policy – the basics

Having said that, a privacy policy is a statement that discloses some or all of the ways a website collects, uses, discloses, processes, and manages the data of its visitors and customers. It usually also includes a statement regarding the website’s commitment to protecting its visitors’ or customers’ privacy, and an explanation about the different mechanisms the website is implementing in order to protect privacy.

Different jurisdictions have different legal obligations of what must be included in a Privacy Policy. You are responsible to make sure you are following the relevant legislation to your activities and location.

What to include in the Privacy Policy

Generally speaking, a Privacy Policy often addresses these types of issues: the types of information the website is collecting and the manner in which it collects the data; an explanation about why is the website collecting these types of information; what are the website’s practices on sharing the information with third parties; ways in which your visitors and customers can exercise their rights according to the relevant privacy legislation; the specific practices regarding minors’ data collection; and much, much more.

I recently had the privilege of working alongside Natasha Wisniewski and Elder Path on a travel-companion assignment for an older adult making an important transition closer to family. Natasha coordinated the countless details with compassion, professionalism, and genuine concern for everyone involved. Throughout the assignment, I felt supported, trusted, and valued as part of the team. Natasha remained attentive and responsive while allowing me to use my own experience and judgment to meet the family’s needs. It was deeply meaningful work, and seeing the transition completed successfully was incredibly rewarding. Natasha brings both heart and tremendous practical expertise to situations that can feel overwhelming for families. I would gladly work with her and Elder Path again and highly recommend their thoughtful, personalized support.

Thank you, Tasha! She helped make a very scary and difficult situation manageable. Before talking with her, I had no idea how to even begin figuring out the path for my Mom. She was kind, compassionate, patient, and very knowledgeable. She explained the difference between Medicare and Hospice, rehab facility and memory care, who is responsible for the financial pieces, and more. I can not say enough good things about Tasha and what her services can do to help you navigate through something so personal and emotional. My Mom was my rock before Alzheimer's robbed her and Tasha helped explain what my next step needed to be. I am so grateful for what Tasha and Elder Path do. Thank you!

Frequently Asked Questions

With Elder Path, you’re never alone in navigating the challenges of caring for an aging loved one. It starts with a Life Plan Strategy Call, where Natasha and her team assesses your situation to determine how Elder Path may be able to assist. Based on your family’s unique needs, you’ll receive a customized plan of action along with options for engaging our services.

Elder Path helps families take the guesswork out of planning care for an aging loved one. Natasha works closely with you to understand your unique situation and guide you through the next steps. This may include:

  • Safe discharge planning either from a hospital or rehabilitation setting, to assist as a family advocate with social workers, case manager, discharge planners and physicians on communication, timeline and next steps based on financially and medically qualifying for such.
  • Assessing care needs at home – sometimes small changes, such as safety modifications or minor renovations, can make it possible for your loved one to remain at home safely and comfortably.
  • Medicare insurance plan reviews.
  • Veterans benefits reviews.
  • Assistance with applying for benefits, obtaining appropriate durable medical equipment (DME), securing physician orders, and identifying qualified care providers and community resources.
  • Exploring senior care options – when a higher level of care is needed, Elder Path helps determine the most appropriate setting, whether that’s independent senior living, assisted living, skilled nursing, or memory care. Natasha can even accompany families on community tours to help evaluate options and ask the right questions.
  • Connecting with trusted professionals – Elder Path helps families access qualified attorneys, accountants, and other specialists for important legal and financial planning needs, including powers of attorney, living wills, and estate planning.
  • Planning ahead financially – Natasha can review insurance and pre-need planning options so families are not left making difficult decisions during a crisis. Together, you can create a plan that helps ensure funeral or cremation expenses are addressed in advance.

We are not healthcare providers and do not bill insurance for our services. However, we have the experience, knowledge, and professional connections to help guide families toward the resources and solutions that best fit their needs.

Following your complimentary assessment, we will determine whether placement assistance is appropriate or whether a consultation agreement and fee structure will apply for ongoing support and family care planning services.

We are not contracted or paid by the providers we work with.

Absolutely. We do not qualify clients based on their insurance coverage or facility needs. Helping families navigate this season of life is our passion.

If, after our complimentary assessment, we determine that none of our insurance-related or placement services are the right fit, we can still provide guidance and support through a consulting agreement. We will provide a detailed explanation of our services, fees, and engagement options before moving forward.

A preneed funeral contract (sometimes called a prearrangement) is simply planning and paying for funeral or cremation services in advance—before they are needed.

Rather than leaving your family to make difficult decisions during an emotional time, you can document your wishes and set aside funds to cover those expenses ahead of time.

This helps ensure your preferences are honored, reduces stress for your loved ones, and eases the financial burden on your family when the time comes.

A top priority was ensuring families could upload and digitally sign any necessary agreements to make the process of helping them secure and streamlined. This is why when you engage our services, we are fully HIPAA compliant, and all documents containing personal identifying information are protected and kept secure.

If your passion aligns with ours, email us, and we’ll schedule a quick call. There are several ways to get involved including our “work-study program”.
